How can I book a shoot; What is the process?
All bookings at Richmond VA Photo & Video are by appointment only. A deposit is required to secure your session, and payments can be made on the shop page of the website.

What should I wear for my session?
We offer wardrobe in studio for certain styles. An in-house stylist is available to help you select the right fit as well. Selecting the right outfit is crucial for a successful shoot! Stick to colors that complement your complexion and avoid busy patterns that may distract from your look. We’re here to guide you in choosing wardrobe pieces that match the theme and mood of your session, ensuring you look your best in every shot.
Can I bring any props?
Definitely! Bringing props is encouraged as they can personalize your session. Feel free to include items that showcase your individuality or fit your chosen theme.
What if I'm not photogenic; I rarely like the way I look in pictures and I can't pose like a model.
Sometimes taking your own picture can be stressful. Everyone has their good angles. I will coach you through posing to make sure your personality shines through on the shoot. So don’t worry so much;-) Your images will look gorgeous!
Can you produce ‘Model Agency quality images’?
Yes! Without a doubt; Generally an agency photographer will produce images that do not require retouching. Its all in my process!
Do you offer prints and albums?
Definitely! I believe in helping you build keepsakes for you to enjoy and pass down to the next generations. Its important to keep memories in prints. I use the best quality folio paper/albums and material for framed and printed products.
What types of clients do you shoot?
They come from all different walks of life, age ranges and professions. I think it’s so interesting to see their style and how they want to portray themselves through their images. I love the chance to connect with them on a more personal level during our sessions and hear their stories. Most of my clients are women who are on their way to achieve their dream life. Sometimes they are single women, other times they have families, but they all need the same thing: images that tell the world what kind of person they are and how to get in touch with them if you’d like to work with them.
Do you shoot headshots?

How long will it take to receive my digital/printed images?
There is a 1 to 7 day turn around for fully edited digital images (often used for social media/websites display). Allow up to 2 – 3 weeks for printed images, hanging wall art, folio boxes, albums, etc.
